The Garden
Whispers of shadows play among branches
Marble steps to a leaf-strewn pool
echoes of moonlight dancing there.
You come…and I await you in the darkest corner
Pale shadows play on your features
as night sounds echo near.
A gentle kiss and all begins anew
as some forgotten melody
Of love, of time, of immortality
as in this dream of one sweet moment.
Twilight
Search beyond the iron fence amid the roses
long since bloomed and gone
The summer’s song tis now a passing memory
and autumn nights proclaim my love for thee.
For in the dried and cool autumn eve
we sit behind the shadowed garden wall
To watch each twilight darken
still moonlit lovers, clinging
to the smallest shred of time,
of moments as one.
You take my hand and in that wondrous breath
I see the world in some small measure as ours.
A wonder yet beheld,
together through the darkening night.
Kindred Flight
And so, the weary bonds do break
Of mortal life and of the ties of death.
At last, the kindred strength doth take
One such as I who longs to breath
the air of immortality.
When once again the moon does rise
And all around me sings the shadowed night.
